To second Siegurt's message: remember that conjurations aren't the only way for DE to deal with monsters. You can play En, pick up a bow, and spend a bunch of the game pincushioning confused monsters; it's very likely a more XP-efficient way of dealing with things.

Yeah — they're more like excellent, weird conjurations than they are like Yred allies.

Also, in particular with Kiku's corpse delivery, you can make a really large number of very high-damage simulacra.

Necronomicon is not a bad book at all (really, only necromut is underwhelming), it's more that when you get access to Kiku's capstone gift, pain brand gives a big power increase right now while the book gives you a big power increase later.

I do kinda think a "make me a random artefact, biased towards something my character might find useful" option for Acquirement might be fun. Probably wouldn't usually be the best choice for the scroll, but sometimes you don't really need gear and it's fun to spin a roulette wheel.

If my math is right, you'll still have enough slots for LCS. While it's not, like, super quiet, it's a lot quieter than Fire Storm and is a pretty good choice for single targets you don't want to melee as long as your spell power is good.

Don't forget Malign Gateway as a killdudes option.

One thing: On A:3 you may run into vaults that have the Abyssal rune. Some of them are easy, but lots of them are really really dangerous. The rune is 100% not worth dying for; walking away is often good and wise.
