Just checked my log: There was a glowing shapeshifter on that level. So the zombie must have been a glowing shapeshifter who must have shifted into GOB or something else mutagenic. Sneaky! Mara's still a jerk-face.

It could be, but I cleared the level later on and it was totally danger-free. Most likely, Mara's code just switches tiles and I'm very confused. But it was just L18 so I hope there's not a mutagentic monster around every corner.

I think this all comes from my love of Omega. One class, one race, but each game you choose "guilds" (thieves, gladiator, sorcerers, paladins, gods, etc.) to join, some mutually exclusive, that do the same thing as backgrounds but IMHO much more elegantly.

Have the rules on how monsters sleep/paralyze characters changed in 0.8 ?

I think that Jellyfish should have tentacles, like kraken. Maybe just one square would be enough.

Also, type-A marine biologists will tell you that it's not a jelly fish. Sea jelly, jelly, medusozoa or medusa might be more appropriate (and more colorful!).
