When after playing and splatting 7 Mummy wizards in a row I get fed up with the whole magic thing and play a Troll berserker and promptly starve to death 5 times in a row.

There's no in game utility to screenshot things. You make them by hitting the print screen key, then open paint (or your preferred image editor), paste, and save. Failing that just make a character dump with #. It'll provide an asci screenshot, and your recent history. I don't think that will work....

New unique proposal, Smokey Bear. Only appears in a vault. My idea for the vault is a number of trees which you can see into with a dragon/fire drake/fire elemental or such fire critter and Smokey Bear. When the vault comes into view, Smokey readies a crossbow and executes the fiery critter.

I don't find the starting vault with the clear wall and all the nasty monsters behind the door very much fun because a jelly can just eat through the door and leave you having to evade the monsters and all the jellies. What spells would you people recommend for attacking Elf:5? My character has a lot of nice crowd control spells like poisonous cloud, freezing cloud, abjuration and of course mephitic cloud. This character can also run really quickly and channel energy if necessary.

I'm not sure a potion that essentially gives you permanent mutation resistance would go over well. Being able to "lock" in random mutations would kind of defeat the "Mendelian roulette" aspect of the mutation game as well: they're useful but you can't guarantee their permanence....

I like playing HeWz, good attributes, and He is a easier species to branch into melee with. I like having decent melee skill on my wizards for the situations when I run out of mana.

There needs to be some equivalent of a scroll of vorpalise weapon for mutations so that if you got a really nice set of mutations you could keep them without fear of loosing them in the next round of mutation roulette.

I really, really hate the Mahkleb altar vaults where it looks like the altar and the demonic crawler or such are surrounded by lava, but it has a gap or two where they can get through. D:3 demonic crawlers aren't fun.

I've just discovered that I really like Purgy. Well he can be a little bit tricky for me at the depths he appears at, it's awesome having D4 troll leather armor.
