I like the idea of holy resist being exclusive to Yredelemnul. Yred's already anti-holy and giving people a small reason to want to take Yred into extended wouldn't be a terrible thing. Yred's profane servitors already resist holy. What about instead of a new god ability, adding a resist holy effect...

What if Deflect/Repel Missiles had a chance of costing 1MP for each missile reflected? The chance could be 100% at low power. Maybe high damage projectiles could even cost more than one MP. What about scrolls with one random pre-identified mid to high level spell. A single-use, no-failure, no-MP cost, no-hunger, high power, cast of that spell. I think a reaching sword and flail could work as special artefacts. I don't think they need to be tied to a particular unique. Reaching is cool enough that either of these could be made comparable with existing non-randarts/fixedarts when you were lucky enough to find one of them.

Try Dungeon Sprint. It's harder but you'll get to see a lot of dangerous creatures and uniques earlier so you wont be caught by surprise when you run into them in a full game.

It's not so bad. A lot like playing a DS or a PSP but with a much better screen than either. Autoexplore and autotravel really make it reasonable. It makes my commute go by faster and it's way better than Angry Birds.
