You know something embarrassing? I try all sorts of tricky challenge runs, and even do pretty well at some of them, but I still haven't learned to use many invocations in combat. Honestly, after early game, I completely forgot shadow form was a thing. I forgot shadow step most of the time as well.

Yeah. Instadeath by banishment makes no sense since being abyssed has no bearing on skill and has no real material advantage attached, so I took that part out of the challenge. Playing a challenge game is a lot more fun when you don't have to worry about ^Qyesing when a reaper has a distortion scythe.

It's very, very hard to get maximum spellpower. From memory: At 27 skills, you need three enhancer items (ring, staff, archmagi) and 30 int or two enhancer items and 50 int. At some point, increasing power becomes a much less significant concern.
