Since the bazaar is a portal, I don't think he should. He would detect the shops once inside the bazaar, though.

I have a sweet spot for Demigods, but not for spellcasters. I don't know why, but a spell-less 15-rune run is much easier for me. And how do you reduce the total game time with casters? I mean, 14 hours for this game is a lot, especially compared to a an average of around 6 hrs for a spell-less game...

Yes, IDing a deck each time will reveal the next card. Since I usually don't play with Nemelex, I end up wasting a lot of ID scrolls on legendary decks, especially ones of Changes or Wonder.

Clearing a Zig without any spells is doable, but very risky. Some of the levels with multiple Pan lords can be really tough.
Axes are recomended, scrolls of fog are useful as well. I've done it with a Mummy (before Cleaving was introduced) and a Hill Orc.

- If you are so bothered by your mutations, switch to Zin. Donate some cash, kill some baddies in the Abyss to get to full piety and then Cure all mutations. After that switch back to TSO.

- You don't need to train any spells.

That was really informative, however my problem is downloading and installing all these developers tools, that I am not going to use for anything else but Crawl. My workaround was to use Wineskin and run the windows build. It worked fine and took about 2 minutes to set up. - Download a Windows build...

Only from random drops. Very rare, of course, but on average, there are one or two legendary decks (not always with Elixirs in them) in a 15-rune game.
I remember a game (not with Nemelex) when I had 4 legendary decks, with Elixir stacked in each.

From my experience, Jiyva is best played as a late-game god, after completing everything except Pan, Hells, Abyss, Tomb and Slime obviously. Rune lock is fine by me.
I played a couple of characters, all Demigod Fighters, no spells, and had no problems. It is challenging, but so is the game itself.

The first char got one rune before L15, the other got two runes.

Just checked my last wins and they all have Evo at level 15 at least. I don't know why I was under the impression that legendary decks *guarantee* at least power 1.

You got regeneration effect I think. Was your health below 50%? If not, then you get power 0 instead of power 1. Power level 1: If you're above 50% of your maximum HP, falls back to power level 0.
