Re: Monster threat level summary in offline tiles

I'm so excited to see this finally implemented. Thank you, Psymania! I don't love the current square aura, I keep thinking the monster is on a special tile. I'm sure I could get used to it though. I'm intrigued by the dotted line version. What does it look like with health bars displayed? Re: the ga...

Tiles: Add Option for General Threat Level Icons

Proposal: new option - tile_show_threat_level (default: true) example.png This would save a lot of xv'ing for offline players and could even give online players more situational awareness, though the monster list does a lot of the same work online. I posted this a couple years ago and it was very w...

I really like a lot of this, but the summons don't quite feel right to me. Perhaps summoning/moving statues in some form would work? Though trapping yourself could be problematic unless you could move through them ala Fedhas/plants.

Tankra's all sound like solid alternatives.

Ah, that makes a bit more sense. I don't really care either way about the demon icons, if that's something people want to keep. It just seems like a good system to copy for a broader threat level system.

Tiles: Change demon tier icons to general threat level

A follow up to this little thread: https://crawl.develz.org/tavern/viewtopic.php?f=8&t=21614&p=294651 I did some digging, and it seems like the demon tier icons (tile_show_demon_tier = true) were created to help users identify the threat level of all the various demons you can encounter. (So...

Well blast. I'm very familiar with confirmation bias and it crossed my mind but I did a few more tests to probe it and everything seemed to point to something funny going on around that stairwell. This was tempered even further by flubbing some more reliable spells near the stairwell when an orc war...
