I see what you mean, minmay. I just had to dig a bit deeper.

Base > Stat > Slay > Weapon Skill > Fighting Skill > Modifiers > Bonus.

Bonus doesn't get added on until the end.

It looks like base damage always happens, but + damage is randomized between 1 and +.

If I'm deciphering fight.cc int melee_attack::player_apply_weapon_bonuses(int damage) correctly.

I find myself keeping way too much stuff in my stash... God gifts, scrolls, potions, random artefacts, wands, decks, evokables... Not to mention that I can't help but start a collection of dragon hides every game lol.

Currently running my most successful Op loosely based on the the MuWi guide. OpVM of Kiku that has morphed into a summoner. Man, Twisted Res makes mid game mostly trivial.

The ' (apostrophe) key can be used to switch between what is wielded from slot 'a' to slot 'b' and back. You may have to use = to rearrange things so that one or the other is empty, but I just tested and it does work with unarmed.
