Re: Potion of beneficial mutation > Potion of evolution

Quaffing potion of mutation is generally a good idea. I disagree. Maybe one can argue that you generally get good results from it, but that's not enough to make it a good idea. I'm sorry, there was a typo. I meant "Quaffing potion of beneficial mutation is generally a good idea.".

Re: Potion of beneficial mutation > Potion of evolution

it's different from potion of mutation because quaffing it is actually a good idea Quaffing potion of mutation is generally a good idea. In many cases body-slot mutations can be considered as bad mutations (they prevent some armour). So it is just percentage of a good mutations that is different. I...

Potion of beneficial mutation > Potion of evolution

Potion of evolution: adds one level of evolution mutation.
Right now benmut motion isn't differs too much from potion of mutation. Replacing it by potion of evolution would make bigger difference while adding more fun.

Re: Discussion: Improving Skalds

If the spectral weapon is the spirit of your wielded weapon, why it can't strike the invisible enemy that you can see? Also for comparison Battlesphere can fire at invisible things (even ones you can't see) Although I think that might be counterintuitive and it probably *shouldn't* be able to. I th...

Make Infusion consuming i. e. 10% (with ceil or randomized rounding) of your max MP per hit and you will not want to use it in late game. Or it can cost i. e. 10% of it's spellpower per hit. You can even raise it's cap now. After all, it's damage/cost ratio will decrease with spellpower raising (bec...

Re: Discussion: Improving Skalds

This is very strange, I can't see that my spectral weapon (elven long sword) strikes at all. It just works as additional part of me taking enemy damage. Of course Spectral weapon is adjacent to both of me and foe and has the chance of attacking. _You draw out your weapon's spirit! The gnoll barely m...

The in-game description says that it enhances melee skills (like Oki?), so it can be confusing a little.

Re: Which font do you recommend for console games?

Do you know how to go about vectorizing it for use on OSX? And have you posted your vectorized version of the CGA font anywhere, or the process you used to create it? I have used FontForge and potrace for bitmap->vector conversion. I would post ttf-version of CGA font, but don't know if it legal. O...

Re: Which font do you recommend for console games?

I like classic 8x8 CGA font, it is oldschool (I feel it is good for roguelikes) and has height = width.
