Re: Suggestions for Twisted Resurrection

If anyone has a replacement spell for Twisted Resurrection, I'd be glad to hear it. (Same for Sublimation for Kiku's first randbook but that's a different matter). I've been sidetracked until recently, but on my todo list is to either remove Twisted Res or replace it with a "one buff abom"...

The plan is to make it create one strong abom, like Sar said. And if that doesn't work out, I'll remove it.

And I should be able to get started on that in the next few days, so changes will happen "fairly soon."

The actual fix is that komodos lost sickbite. I'll probably think over purple ugly things and such later.

I've been wondering for a little while how to fix komodo dragons, or whether they should just be removed. Septic sounds fairly interesting; any chance you could give me some more specifics? How much HP/HP% is "rotted" per bite, caps on rotting, etc.

Should vinestalkers be able to drain magic from plants and fungi? No. However, they might not be in your case; "You drain its power" is printed for all things, since that refers to the antimagic part of the bite. You're only replenished if you get "You feel (very) invigorated." ...

Second bout of nerfs is in: Now you start at regen II and get III at xl8, and the manavamp formula is halved across the board. Now it is half of 1dDamageDone for non-spellcasters, and 1dDamageDone for spellcasters. Ideally manavamp will be somewhat less degenerate now, and regen II will make the ear...

Note the above is stupid and only true in very few corner cases. By the time you consider training Haste your Armour/Dodging/Fighting should be at least 15 and the biggest 2h weapon you could find should be at min delay. I think it's obvious that casters are guaranteed to have lower defense (HP, AC, EV) because non-casters train just one weapon skill (melee, unarmed or ranged) while casters train at least one magic school and spellcasting. And some players suggest training Stealth also (for casters only again, stea...

Another reason is that Nemelex is already a very fiddly god. While I don't detest the idea, it would serve to increase the overall fiddliness. Bad thread title, I thought this would be a thread asking to be able to shuffle your stats for a high piety cost. Last time I got to do this was 0.9.0 trunk, and Tornado simplified things quite a bit: I'd just charge in with Darkness, cast Tornado, and keep healing and channeling. Just did one of those the other day. Picking up Darkness helps, both for reducing the number of visible smiters, and for making sure your tornado (almost) completely fills your line of sight.
