Thanks :). Shields indeed was on 14, but only because i removed the amulet of faith. Think it removed some of my piety, and dropped my +skills a bit. Casting poison and inner flame on a monster is not always a smart move.
It will survive the next few spells you throw at it with a small amount of HP, comes closer to hug you, to explode in your face >.<

I usually don't learn Deflect Missiles at all. It costs a lot of spell slots, and most of the stuff it affects isn't dangerous in the first place. What about repel missles? Only drawback as starting as a caster background is that you lack a bow / xbow / sling. But these can be found in the dungeon sooner or later. Guess xbow is hardest to get by. Slings tend to be found here and there, and bows drop from centaurs pretty early on. Xbow is a matter of luck imo. Not sure ...

Also, how does a EE go with spells like deflect missles, which have Air as school. Leave it at level 1, or level it to 5-9 anyway, even when the penalty will be -4.

I was looking into an EE as well, not sure about the race though. Sounds like a fun and different experience :).

I've seen many posts that the easiest character by far is a DDNE. As i can agree with a Necromancer to be easier than others (perhaps same as summoner?) i can't really see why a DD would be so good? Damage reduction is nice ofcourse (any info on exact numbers?), but other races offer different stuff...

How good is the staff of Wucad Mu actually? It doesn't increase the power of my spells does it, just gives MP on /evoke? And it hit hards with +22/+13 i guess >>

Maybe i'm just lucky, but it seems i find way more artifacts with this 0.9 :d.

Somwhere i've read that see invis on weapon / armour does increase hunger rate. But i aint sure, is it true?

And also, do 2 items make my hunger rate even bigger?

Wish there was some kind of toggle setting that lets you move unless there is a monster in sight (1 square at a time) instead of holding shift :(.

I've had the same a few times, it's bad. But i guess also part of the game ><
