Problem The tiles in crawl can be quite small and hard to see, especially with higher resolution monitors, or small screens. The solution offered to fix this seems to be the "tile_cell_pixels" command, but this option makes the graphics look crazy when not kept at the default size. Steps ...

So you're just saying what I said but in different words, it's a game mechanic that doesn't make any thematic sense. Was hoping someone might be able to explain it, guess it's just too hard to defend!

Why does sound atract enemies?

The enemies would be making lots of sounds as they move around the dungeon, yet why is that when they hear any sound from the player they automatically know it's from an intruder?

I listen to the Skyrim "song" called Atmospheres (~40 minutes) which is literately the perfect song while playing this game. It's basically natural dark ambient.

I think it would be a lot better to have the resolution be a half or even a quarter of the tablet's native resolution (to make the tiles bigger.) Currently it requires mouse-like precision with the touch screen making it almost impossible to play. I think pinch zooming in & out constantly would ...

Are more statisistics coming to the side bar/tabs? Like the god abilities and race info/mutations. Feels like there's too many hidden menus and info in this game.

how does dungeon generation work? Does it make sure that there are a certain amount and type of monsters and items on each floor? Or are all enemy and item amounts etc. all random?

For troll berserker, should I just upgrade Dexterity when I have the choice? Since I think I get given strength anyway, and I think the extra dex will help the evasion and unarmed combat?

Necronomicons everywhere

I never usually get very far, but today I'm upto the Lair and Hive and so far I've found 3 necronomicons and a book of burglary (I'm a DDNe). Are these books meant to be this common? I really hope I find some more spells soon.
