One of them is guaranteed (directly behind the Zin altar) if I'm reading the vault right, yes. Possibly you missed it somehow or equally possibly I'm reading the vault wrong, though.

Lots (most? all?) of Crawl's tiles are public domain - I think these old ones originally come from http://rltiles.sourceforge.net. I vaguely remember this game (and its tiles) being mentioned before on the Tavern even, but I can't find the thread.

Lichform is most well-known for taking away your access to various emergency abilities and Zin is known for giving you access to two very powerful ones, so there's that. Maybe they are similar in some other way I'm not aware of though!

Yeah this is an issue, probably the fix is to either make stat drain require XP gain to recover (like transient mutations), or to just make stats not recover over time (obviously that would maybe require additional adjustments to sources of stat drain).

Well, you went into the Lair, saw the hydra, left (good plan if there was no other way to get away from it, although you could also have possibly have killed it with wands of cold and draining), and then decided to go back in again and die by the look of it (bad plan).

The wiki's spell description for Apportation is five versions out of date or something. Apportation hasn't been able to make items get "lost in the void" since maybe 0.7, and what that actually meant is that if you tried to apport a stack of multiple items (arrows, bolts, large rocks, etc)...

Um, an elephant can deal up to (20*.52 + 5 *.52) damage in a single attack to a character with 37 AC and 48% GDR. This number is definitely more than 7. My understanding was that 37 AC * 0.48 = 17 damage is removed from every attack of every monster who attacks me. That is not what GDR does at all.

You get a new attempt when you gain a star of piety or when your good god penance ends. I guess if you want to wait 1000 turns to lose a star of piety and then regain it you could do that but it doesn't sound very helpful otherwise.

Confuse has a higher power cap (but isn't any more likely to succeed at equal power). Confusion stabs do less damage than sleeping stabs.
