I'd just say, instead of special casing anything, just give them an identified Amulet of Faith. I know someone said it's overpowered, but it is it's own drawback- the become worthless not too much later in the game when you need to switch amulets to rMut and rCorr.

Intelligence, always, if you ever plan on casting any spells at all ever ever.

Otherwise, Strength will let you haul more stuff and do better damage with Statue and Dragon Form (but you want Intelligence, remember?), Dex if you're basing all of your defense around stealth and EV.

It's not really worth learning anyway. If you want to go Heavy armour, even for Beoghites, Dragon armour or good randart armour (or good randart dragon armour!) is far above comparable orcish armour.
