I won with an ogre wanderer (v0.6) and a few chaos knights (Sprint). I lost an awesome ogre hunter online on Zot:5, because I rushed. I love ogres. No one said you can't win with heavy armor, just that it sucks. Anyway, you had 45 EV and 31 SH to go with it.

Identify your items and wear a robe. Drop anything you don't need. Explore the rest of the lair, then the mines and hive. Don't enter the lair branches yet.
