I have not fully charted out the some of the lower levels. If I run into a particularly nasty unique I usually just avoid them.

I will be sure to stay out of the tomb and the slime pit. I did well in elf till I got to lvl 7. It seems to be full of very angry gentlemen who are resistant to magic and can see invisible. Thanks, I will plunder elf and see if I can grab some resist fire. I have access to resist mutation and control teleport already.
