CIP - TrMo of Chei "I can almost cast stuff"

I've been wanting to try Chei with a decent character for the longest time. At first, I thought Naga would be a fine species with Chei, which is so wrong it hurts. So I tried it with a specie that COULD survive early on with Chei speed, which is why I chose TrMo. Also it should be fun to have real i...

First Win - CeHu Potato the misnamed !!!

Happy tiiiime ! So... I'm happy. I've been playing crawl for a loong time, with many failures and bad ideas (I won't tell you how many Troll Wizards I had fun with). But I won, at last ! And with a species I hated before food was changed ! Now I love it and this run was awesome too. Escaping with a ...

Aaand dead. That felt extremely dumb. This is important for later, but i had just woken up and my head was not perfectly clear. This is a run I wanted to share because I don't really know what to do with it. I say Okawaru is clueless because he doesn't hear my prayers for a good sling or decent short sword. So I wonder, where should I go ? I tried to finish the Orcish Mines earlier but I got an nasty ending, it looks like th...

You can guess by the title that I'm salty. I feel it's difficult to start a transmuter run, so dying when I finally cast reliably my favourite spells is hurting my soul. Thank you for your answer.

If I understand correctly, the case of a Troll is different in that it might be better to train shields before let's say 10 dodging because it pays off quicker ?

I never seem to know when to train specific skills or when not to train specific skills with a melee char. For example, when do I start training shields ? How long do I wait before I train a second "defensive" skill ? Usually, I turn on my weapon skill + a defensife skill (dodging for a tr...

I'd like it if you could make potions by mixing food ! With effects like real potions but a bit weaker.
Also, crawl needs a Baker class. Fights with a baguette, shields with pizza bread. In any case more use for fruits would be good, even if Fedhas is already a great reason to like fruits :3
