I do seem to train at least a good amount of fighting on all my characters, just for the hp. Maybe i'll train a wee bit of staves, but I don't want to rely on bashing with them for min delay as a caster.

Damage scales with elemental skill and evocations, so you need only 12 staves skill (for attack delay) and no strength or fighting. (Slaying still helps.) Will staves skill and fighting help me to hit? I don't attack too often with a staff, I wonder if investing in the staves skill is worth it for ...
