My last run I didn't encounter any kind of gloves that had positive enchantments until after my first two runes. I did find two hilariously negative artefact gloves. A minus 1 with minus stats and multiple resistances and a minus - 5 with only flight. I even open up vaulted doors to get one of these...

I also saw that vault on my last run, which was especially nasty for a pure fighter type. Thankfully, there were other stairs outside of that death trap. I just decided to avoid it entirely. I am not sure if it should be removed, but it was certainly challenging.
