Silly me. But I was low health and coudn't afford a mistake at all.

So I'm in the abyss and I was just told that a portal out has appeared. I don't see it. I assume I should scout out near where I saw the message to find it?

The only rCold item I've seen so far is an artifact ring with rCols, sInv, Fly and -4 int for sale in orc. Little worried about dropping a source of resist cold.

So I got through the spider nest on Statue form + mephtic cloud with the occasional stone arrow. I just found a couple more books on Shoals:1 and I'm not sure what spells to memorize.
