Crypt and the Vestibule are good for 'safe' TSO piety. Pan, Hell & Tomb are also full of Evil creatures, but the Abyss isn't.

Wouldn't Spriggan Transmuters be better with some other god?
If I wanted to use UC transmutations as the primary offence on a Spriggan I'd go Ru or Wu Jian, or something like that, so that you can still run away.

If you want as many runes as possible, I'd recommend switching to TSO/Zin. Specifically, such to TSO, then do crypt, bless your demon trident (beware you can't use a demon trident with the his god's), then switch to Zin. As I have already pointed out in another thread, ER^2/strenght - ER^2/(strenght +1) ~ ER^2/strenght^2. Hence a linear correlation between strength & ER is expected.

Ice form (as suggested by le_nerd) gives poison resistance.
If it reduces your defence/offence to much for general use, you can still transform into ice form the turn you are first blasted with pois clouds. Temporal distortion might also help, but I don't have much experience with that.
