No more elves and kobolds.

Replace all generic fantasy races and make crawl a unique fantasy universe. Even if it' only renaming the the existing ones at first.

Stylized Race and Weapon Symbols in selection Screen

I really like the new character selection screens, but I wonder if having unified stylized symbols for the Race and Weapon screens like the ones in the when choosing the background would make it look more...consistent? It may also highlight the different races more than the dolls can.

But then what if you autoexplore-combat, see a dangerous monster (like Mennas, or an early centaur warrior) and you only get control back when you're adjacent? It would be great if there's a button that combines autocombat and autoexplore for the easier levels. You press it at the start of the level and as long as above a certain hp level it will attack, explore and rest until the level is explored / there are only rune doors left.

Personally I can't stand multiple lives in Roguelikes. The reason why I just can't play this awesome race. And simply quitting after dying doesn't feel right. Maye ask the player if they want to revive?

I finally have to agree here. It really made more sense in earlier versions. The ID game was also more meaningful when Scrolls only got identified after you could see the effect. Now identifying is basically a no-brainer and at the worst case you loose one scroll. Quite similar to potions after remo...

I would be more in favour of keeping minotaur, as orcs and dwarves are really default fantasy races. But that's more about flavour than anything.

Elves is the spellcasting race for newbies with lots of int and good aptitudes. Maybe it should be merged into other race. Tengu is special because you like the idea of bird people? I'm for renaming Vampires into something different, as I find that Vampires as race don't make sense in first place. So I'm partly fine with the thankbait solution. Or that they change into a class. Or maybe one can contract vampirism during the game with fitting races.

Hello Tavern!

I had to register just to show my support for the Faerie Dragon. Ever since AOW2 I liked them for beeing such a weak high-level Unit. So here's my vote to keep them as Dragons. (Or at least please don't turn them into another humanoid race).
