I agree with posters above that lignification is definitely already situationally useful. There are arguments for and against strictly bad potions/scrolls, but since there's already only one type of each, I don't mind them. But making them situationally useful would be fine too.

Do you mean it is a good idea to require players input message "i want to live" on turn 999 otherwise their character dies? Because your question stands in this situation too and the situation is rather close to what I meant with my initial post. I have to disagree. The mystery transporte...

It's already been agreed that occasional unfair deaths must be inevitable given the game's design philosophy, so you have to factor that in when deciding whether to care about winstreaks. I for one generally enjoy shafts.

The first few times I got there I kept forgetting that the scorpions in there are WAY stronger than the ones in the beginning of Dungeon, and they killed me at least once. They do look awfully similar to the untrained eye. Would be lovely if they were a different color or something.

Strongly agree with you both. I'd also like an init option to not pick up a wand if you already carry (enter variable number) of them, although wand stacking would fix that.
