Issue: Flying and Shafts

I just have a tiny quibble. My run yesterday was ended by a shaft. Normally, I would accept this fate, but I was flying at the time. Is this just an oversight, or is it intentional?

Re: New god proposal : Iquotin, the god of Betrayer

I agree that the core concept of a god built around enduring the wrath of other gods is interesting. Perhaps a possible alternative would be an activated ability at 0 piety thaat allows you to deface the altars of other gods. This would be the primary piety gain method for this god. Any god whose al...

Re: New God - Hanula, God of the Fast

The 'scummy gameplay' is mitigated by the fact that the only time a player is allowed to eat is when they are on fast, which they may not want to spam if they're going to need to be drinking potions later. True, they could sit and wait until starving, but the increase in piety gain doesn't have to b...

New God: Geroth, God of Beasts

Geroth, God of Beasts Hep-Like original version Geroth slightly appreciates it when you kill things (~30%) Geroth appreciates it when your allies kill things (~50%) Geroth greatly appreciates it when your familiar kills things (100%) Piety level ------: "Tamer" Allo...

New God - Hanula, God of the Fast

Hanula, God of the Fast (And I don't mean anti-chei) Hanula greatly appreciates it when you sacrifice food rations (nutrition/100 piety, not chunks) Hanula likes it when you kill monsters while hungry (Higher chance of piety gain the hungrier you are) Hanula's powers increase with the player's hunge...

Re: New Advanced Race - Automatons

Will do! I'd appreciate it if someone would be willing to compile it for me; I've been unsuccessful with that thus far. EDIT: https://drive.google.com/open?id=0BwFAbublt0QtdXVZU1lnNWtMblU You should be able to extract this right into the source folder of a 0.20.1 download and build from there. If an...

My demigod Archer/Transmuter found the amulet of Matham {Reflect +Blink Slay+2 Shield+5} in the Lair

As an aside, my Demonspawn yesterday found +2 boots of speed in a shop. The first time I ever saw them in-game. He developed the talons mutation :(

Sonar Mechanics with Example Blind Species

Blind creatures lack the usual LoS mechanics. Instead a given creature may have other ways, mundane or magical to navigate the dungeon. SONAR - Lurkers have sight near sources of noise, with a larger noise granting a correspondingly larger sight radius, this sight radius diminishes as the noise diss...

Re: New Advanced Race - Automatons

That last ability was perhaps a rash decision. The entire list of abilities is completely different than the list I pasted into the textbox from my text editor; I just kept tinkering with it before I hit 'Submit'. I had a variant that absorbed damage from elec and turned it into mp. I had that same ...

Re: New Advanced Race - Gnomes

I understand that these are already existing mechanics, but none of them are used currently in a new species. The Barachi for instance, may have 2 new mechanics, but the actual new gameplay created by that race's existence is arguably smaller than this gnome. As an aside to watertreatment, I hardly ...

Re: New Advanced Race - Gnomes

Woops, yeah missed them stats. Was thinking a little less dex oriented than spriggans. Either 5/11/8 or 4/11/9 EDIT - I do like the fairy idea, and the wild magic increasing over time; but I feel the faeries might be a cleaner design without the MP-powered wands, which was my main drive to make this...

New Advanced Race - Automatons

Basically, I want an artificial race. So here goes. The idea behind the automaton is that it's playstyle changes throughout the game. It starts with exceptional strength, but abysmal Int and Dex. It's dexterity remains poor through the game, but it becomes more intelligent rapidly as it gains experi...

New Advanced Race - Gnomes

I realize Gnolls probably have the seniority to take the Gn abbreviation, so if anyone has a better name, feel free. Some stats may need to change to account for the new flavor. Maybe Gnomes could just be Nm. Anyhow; the idea behind this race is primarily to allow for a new way to play artificers. T...

Re: Let Chei allow Berserk.

Additionally, shouldn't the fact that you're slowed after berserking balance out the haste from going berserk? I feel like Chei could easily be ambivalent towards berserking.
