dude my balls are like Crawl. Both no sound, ugly looks, girls don't want them. The only difference is that crawl is a video game you play on computers, and my balls are a sack and balls.

red sonya 0.9 (detailed) guide

I think this is the easiest way to beat sonya. It gives you the most chance of getting the loot and experience you need whilst avoiding the deadly enemies. Namely the annoying oklob and mummy priest, norris (intelligence drain!), the master archer, the 27 headed hydra and of course lom lobon and his...

hunger should be kept in the backround or erased entirely. Making it more intrusive in the game is boring.

Lets face it, butchering and eating is boring. People want to pwn monsters, not manage hunger levels.

Whats next, taking a dump? having a sleep requirement? this aint the sims.

Yeah where minmay is coming from makes sense if you think about a spectrum of game difficulty and average difficulty. The power of the best combos determine how easy the game is to complete. We are seeing a gradual nerfing of the best combos. I think if we make a list of the major buffs and nerfs we...

I notice with the streaks they change species and class a lot. I think if they just stuck to DDNe or CeHe every time they could pull off huge streaks. But it may be boring lol

elliptic hyperbolic Stabwound 78291 what do these guys have in common? They dominate DCSS. How the heck do they do it? Are they geniuses? Do they play a lot of games to train their DC skills? Hey listen up I encountered the same bug. Make a back up of your game and put it somewhere safe. GO into wizard mode. press "&" then ~ and you should be able to teleport into zot. Do so. Use the upstair. If it is a bug you will appear on D:1 Now what you can do is use wizmode to put an...

Thanks mumra I put an entrance to zot on D27 but whether i am using wizard mode or not using wizard mode the game will crash when I try to enter zot. If you get this bug in your game you are screwed. The fix recommended on mantis doesn't work. I don't know how rare this bug is. If you have a promisi...

It doesn't say you have to alter the cs file. The save file has a .cs extension. For example my characters save is "Kangaxx.cs" This is how i interpreted the bug fix: Back up save. Go in wiz mode and go to zot. Save game. Edit Kangaxx.cs and get "D27" restore the backup save put...

AHHHHH help me!

So I went back to D27 to do zot and the entrances are not there.

I used magic map and tried digging around. I have three runes and I have used the horn of geryon. The doors are just not there.

Is this a bug? Is there any way to fix this?

LOL you're wrong about fighting. You don't need 12 M&F to train up fighting rapidly. If you are strong enough to take on a pack of early yakturs in the open wihout spells then you are not a real wizard. IF you are fighting in a corridor, just use mephcloud and kill them. No need for a high M&...

If you're settling for 'average' attack speed, that means monsters are going to hit you more often between your own attacks. If monsters attack you more often, that means dodging and armor are going to suck up more of the xp you think you're saving for fighting. So I recommend you leave it on until...

My theory on survival in DCSS: Monster Knowledge: The 1st layer of defence If you always avoid OOD monsters, and fight "in depth monsters" then you won't lose. The trouble is identifying OOD monsters. This just comes with practice. Caution: The 2nd layer of defence This is facing every mon...

You can branch off into Necromancy (But why not just play Ne) You can branch off into transumutations (But why not play Tr) You can branch off into earth (Why not play EE,Co,Wi, FE, IE) Their main play style is sneaky with transmutations. What about escape options like meph cloud, swiftness and maybe passwall? Do you get more points for these? Why do you rank Elyvilon, Yred, Lugonu, and Makhleb the same? Surely Makhleb is better than the rest of those, and lugonu the worst. I thought classical theory dictates that Makhleb>yred=Elyvil...

True, wizardry IV is insanely hard. It's all about spoilers though. With a walkthrough and maps, it's doable (but pointless and boring too). So the question of hardest really needs some criteria. With spoilers, nethack is easy, without it is extremely hard. And very hard is often synonymous with ve...

Once you have the basics down it is not about trial and error. It is about focus and the decision to really try and win. Most losses occur with people getting tired/careless/too confident. I understand the random element will kill you. But this thought should not enter the mind of the crawler. If yo...
