Could the keys P (for Put on Jewelry), and W (for Wear an item) become toggleable, so that P becomes put on, or take off if already on; and W becomes wear, or remove if already wearing?

Is there a way to use serpent's lash in conjunction with a scroll of immolation to dart in, kill an inner-flamed monster, and dart out again before getting caught in the explosion? It seems like it should work...

How about a +3 Hat of Illiteracy which, while worn, would prevent the character from reading scrolls or spellbooks (though you could still cast spells already memorized)? Note that a *cursed* Hat of Illiteracy would be a truly awful item!

Does the ring of stealth actually do anything? Yes, obviously it does something, increasing one's stealth; but by how much? Just empirically, it doesn't appear to make much difference in my rate of successful sneakiness. Also, is the effect stackable with multiple rings?

As an Octopode Stabber, this level 1 spell is like voodoo! Cast it before combat, grab them, confuse them, stab them dead! You used to have to touch opponents bare-handed (tentacled), now it works with a weapon. As much as I appreciate this buff, I wonder if it isn't unbalancing?

sorry, but if food is to be part of the game, my preference is for a little more complexity rather than less. Also, it makes sense to me that if you are engorged you don't move as quickly or as dexterously. Just my humble opinion.

Actually, I was just thinking about this yesterday: why not just have ONE command for ascending or descending stairs? Stairs in DCSS are never double, they always either lead up or down, so why differentiate the command? Just have < or > mean "climb up or down stairway/pit/escape hatch" MM

Would it be possible to make the Scroll of Vulnerability more potent? I tend to find them by read-IDing; and then I just rest until my magic resistance is restored, and never look back. Maybe make the effect semi-permanent, and/or affect armor class?

A rare and randomly placed object similar to a teleport trap. Upon walking into it, you are either (75%) transported to a random location in the branch and level of your choice; or (25%) you are transported to a completely random branch/level.
