You can't really see it very well in normal crawl, but I can tell you from Hellcrawl Dragon Form straight up hits harder than statue form as well since that shows actual numbers. Yes, if you roll well and the RJ in in the lower end of its HP.

In hellcrawl damage numbers are unobfucscated. As an Op of Chei in Dragon form with a decent amount of slaying I have hit for 210 damage before and RJ supposedly has 150-300. So its easily conceivable to do it.
