IMO spells offered by Vehumet and learned should not take up regular spell slots at all but should go in a separate list specifically for god gifts (which you would lose access to if you stopped worshipping Vehumet).

Dragon form idea

If you cast Dragon Form while wearing dragon scales, the scales could determine the type of dragon you become.

You would keep the resistances from the scales (and also the AC bonus?) and gain a breath weapon appropriate to the dragon type.

I guess when I said "interesting", I really meant "strong" - this change makes Ash weaker for transmuters than for characters that can use all the bonuses all the time.

The latest updates remove the skill boosts from melded equipment, so it just got a lot less interesting for transmuters (other than octopodes.)

If I understand correctly, new Ash can now boost unarmed combat, which was never possible with old Ash, which could be interesting for transmuters.

I don't think "species that can only worship one god" is a good design decision.

Berserkitis is so bad that having it basically means you can't risk melee ever.

Ba might be my new favourite species. Their slowness doesn't actually feel all that slow, and I enjoy playing species with good aptitudes, even if they supposedly don't make that much difference.

Just allow undead to cast Sublimation of Blood. There's no real gameplay reason why they shouldn't be able to; I guess it would be a buff to Necromutation. The name could be changed to Sublimation of Flesh or something if undead aren't meant to have blood.

What about: remove fighting but make highest melee skill affect HP in the same way as fighting does now.

This would both make training weapons beyond mindelay more worthwhile, and to some extent maintain the rpg stereotype of "beefy fighters, fragile casters".

The trouble with spells is that just about anything that can be done with spells can also be done with god powers, evocations and ranged weapons, while spending less XP and wearing heavy armour.

Zin hates randomness, so instead of removing mutations randomly, they should be removed in alphabetical order or something.

Or, more sensible, mutations you've had for longest get removed first.

I'm not really sure why scarves need to be a thing rather than just putting the effects on amulets and making them take time to kick so they can't be usefully swapped in combat.

Make Regeneration work like a weaker version of Borgnor's.

Give it significantly better regeneration rate than now, but it costs 1 max hp each cast.
