BTW, I think that the need for running away may be one reason why lair branches feel harder: the first level has just one staircase. So, if you are forced to run away, it's likely that you will have a blob of alert enemies over there.

Armagi are creatures that can cast in armour and shield without any added spell failure chance. All other penalties still apply. They also are slow. Generally like humans, but they gain levels at the speed of draconians.

"u" is "Go Up/Right Diagonal" You're right, "u" is unwield only if you are reading the item stats. The ? -> ? list gives me "-" for unwield ("- for none"), which I think I remember using in the past, however it opens up the doll menu on my computer....

A staff of energy does a lot more than MPregen+ though. MRregen+ gives 0.2 mp/turn, whereas a staff of energy gives about 2mp/turn (just guessing based on what it felt like). I've always found myself leaning heavily on staves of energy in Hell & Pan, and other regions where you can't stairdance...

Yup, it must be the explosion.

Scarf of cloud immunity apparently doesn't exist in 0.25, so I tried with the Robe of Clouds. You get damaged by the initial blast, but you can stand safely inside the clouds.

Did it just end the slow effect, or both the exhausted (-berserk) and the slow effect?

I just tried it now in 0.25, and the slow does indeed disappear when you kill the snail. You still have the -berserk.

You're welcome! There's another big change I had forgotten about, and that's that each game you start comes with a number (the "seed"). You can use "choose game seed" in the main menu to insert a seed and generate that particular dungeon. You can also use other people seed.

Yup, these items don't need to be scrolls. They can become any new class, for example, magic gemstones, or coloured glass shards, or magic marbles.

I agree with the OP, there's no reason to impose limits on these items. I would add identify to the list.
