Are there still different levels of ResMut? The mutation resistance could interact with benemut by giving a cap to good mutations with multiple levels, instead of outright negating them. If you already have e.g. scales 1 and you gain ResMut 1, the scales can get up to scales 2 but cannot reach scale...

The rule #1 seems quite arbitrary imo. It is very restrictive. If you want a specialist caster, you can ignore it. This is why it is just one of the criteria. In general, I suffer from the consequences of D&D 3.5, so I still think in terms of full, generalist casters vs full, specialist casters...

The problem, I think, is that armour doesn't limit movement speed. If heavy armour made you slower, you would suddenly have reasons to not go for it. Generally, you can expect to find large shields in Vaults. They may be generated earlier, but they are quite rare, and there aren't many enemies carrying them in general (daevas, vault guards, Louise and Mennas are the only examples I can think of).

You can't use abilities while confused, whatever the ability. Reverting is an ability, so it shouldn't have been unexpected. But yes, at least for bats there should be some way to revert. Actually, they could just get clarity, it's not like they are terrible powerhouses.

When you start worshipping Ashenzari, everything on your body becomes cursed and stays that way, unless you abandon him. You can only swap your stuff by using a piety cost ability. This way, Ash ceases depending on random drops.

In the Ten Rune Challenge, apportation is the safest way to get Anteus' rune. Dude is really hard to kill below level 20. Just lure him out of his alcove, disappear, blow up the walls from outside Cocytus with LRD, yoink and never be seen in Hell again.

I think both tormentors and hellions are glass cannons, and, therefore, important targets but not enough of a menace to make them into t1 demons. I can see a reworking of demon tiers, though. And, unless you are trying to run away on foot, Executioners effectively aren't that dangerous.
