How is damage/accuracy calculated for enemies wielding weapons? The crawl wiki has info on how unarmed enemies accuracy/damage is calculated, and info on how accuracy/damgae is calculated for you, but nothing on enemies wielding weapons. Other possible idea:
Putting on the hat grants the same resists, VERY HIGH regeneration (at the cost of hunger), and is +6 instead of -6.
The downside? Once you put it on, the only action you can take is either wait, or take it off, and you also get drained whenever you take it off.

I've been playing DC:SS on and off for the past many years... and not once have I ever managed to even get remotely near victory. Excluding when I savescum, of course.

I mean, face it, he's a god of chaos. Right now, we can always count on him to never do what you're expecting. Which is a paradox. Sometimes, he should pop into modes of absolute predictability, which ironically will make him less predictable.
