I can verify that it works with riposte and cleave. I am not sure if it works with headbutts and bodyparts, but I'd say probably yes.

It was mildly interesting - you could easily pick up lower-level spells, but not higher-level spells (as easily).

Strength only affects your melee/rangedwpn damage. If you use the mace as a resist-stick, it's fine. Just watch out for statdrain, and unwield the mace if a ghost moth or whatev' comes into view.

Nonsense. Stairs are obviously reusable portals that require you to read something off the portal inscription. You are helpless for a few seconds on the receiving end until you are entirely phased-in with the rest of reality, and if you are confused, you might fail to read the inscription correctly....

Yes, only Hepl can do that. Drain effectively takes your skill levels back by a variable amount (dependent on the drain level), and this drain level decreases with all XP that you gain. In NetHack, drain does steal XP; good541 could be confusing the two drain mechanics. Additionally, just to clarify...

What if we just did curse reform?

Idea: Removing a cursed weapon has a 50-50 chance of giving you a strategic or a tactical debuff. Strategic debuffs include draining, statrot, contamination, etc. Tactical debuffs include being slowed, corroded, confused, etc.
