Re: Positional Attack Magic Implementation [Now Playable]

Actual conversation: Gerad: Trunk isn't too bad! Me: That's because you don't play casters. Gerad: Do too! Me: Play FE, hate life Gerad: I honestly think Foxfire is a pretty good L1 spell. Me: Foxfire is literally useless in a corridor. AKA when you need it most. Gerad: Lure things out into the open...

Re: duvessa's spell guide for cool people

@guidecritic - I agree with most of your points, but I think the critical difference is just who duvessa intended the guide for vs who you think the guide is intended for. Duvessa's targeting experienced players who already know how most of the spells work, have won crawl (probably several times) e...

Re: Bultungin/Gnoll Feedback

I've gone through about one and a half dungeon levels with the new Gnolls and I already hate it, too. The issue is that the statcap doesn't actually accomplish the intended goals. Instead of pushing the player to diversify, the low stats force even the most basic actions to require more skilling tha...

Re: CiP: GnCK^Fed, Swiss Army Knife.

Fedhas is, IMO, a lot stronger than most people give him credit for. The problem is that people don't know to spam his abilities like they're going out of style. Spore are, in fact, really good. A spore or two is usually enough to start a pretty good-sized patch of Ballistomycetes, and evolving one ...

"Useless" items also don't show up in search unless you ask for them to. It clutters the search menu.

FR: Mark altars as 'useless' when playing as Demigod

I mean. They ARE useless as demigod.

Enough said?

Re: How do you break Tomb:3?

NewTomb was actually the second time I've ever been in tomb, and the first one I cleared! With, of all things, a MfVM. (That later died to my first encounter with Ereshkigal, but whatever.) Morgue How I did it: Lichform helped with the torment, but mostly because I also didn't know that trees were i...

Re: CTRL+W tries to close tab instead of setting waypoint D:

except that hitting the asterisk immediately brings up an inventory-related submenu that has nothing to do with waypoints.

FAKEEDIT: Shift+8 is apparently different from the asterisk itself. Good thing I have a numpad on this laptop or I'd be extra-boned. Hahahahahahaha this is dumb

CTRL+W tries to close tab instead of setting waypoint D:

Same as title! For the longest time, webtiles has had code that overwrites the default behavior for ctrl+W in most common browsers, allowing you to actually set waypoints as intended by the game. A recent trunk update broke that, and I can't even figure out how to properly set a macro or keybinding ...

Tstbtto is really annoying me right now.

Mostly because he's been idling for NINE HUNDRED AND NINETY TWO HOURS and I can't do anything about it.
