I got evolution mutation a couple of times and each time my character fully evolved (eventually the evolution mutation itself goes off), gaining quite a good mutation set each time. Of course, you may gain bad mutations too, but there is a way of mitigation for almost every bad one.

Okawaru's generousness has been nerfed a long time ago to limit people going Oka just for gifts. That said, he is still a viable choice, rather nice for melee hybrids.

I double that, tasonir. I find mutation mechanism to be a great way of personalizing crawl experience and making each game truly unique. Myself, I deliberately try to mutate each game I play. If you are not saving your gold for anything, you can briefly forsake TSO, go Zin, donate some gold to him, cure all the mutations and return to TSO.

Neither of them will be angry, and you will start with *** with each of them.

If you are playing Yred, I find Nergalle quite a good target for enslave soul invocation. She will gladly cast haste on your minions all the time, even out of combat. Think of permahasted profane servitors and bone dragons.

Fire storming Tomb:3 is not as good idea as it may sound like. A lot of spellcasting mummies will come at once and death curse summons will float around you. The better solution would be to take them one-by-one.

I strongly disagree with umrain. Dungeon Sprint is WAY harder than the main game altogether and only will possibly lead to frustration. Sprint is hardly playable without major game knowledge and spoilers.

I've been looking for one but I havent been lucky enough to find one. I'll have to CRTL+F to find it. I guess you just use it anyway until you get shield 1, and then maybe * it exclusively until its 5 then other skills back on? Perhaps leave the shield skill on so you can use a larger shield later?...
