+9 SH is not equal to +9 EV. The game has some weird calculations for blocks and SH's displayed value is considerably inflated compared to its actual usefulness.

With your EV consider disintegrating tarantellas from afar, they're damn annoying for low evasion characters and confusion disables SH.

There's little point to -3 in Bows since small races can't use longbows. If they are supposed to not wear body armor, you can call them Fairies instead of Gnomes and give them permaflight for flavor. Maybe someone could fix Yara's targetting too, it uses AoE targetting and if direct line of fire is blocked, it will suggest casting the spell next to monster. Except there's no explosion when you cast it into air, so nothing happens, except for you losing 5 MP and a turn.
