I just poked around a bit with Chrome's developer tools, and found that pressing (i) costs a bit over 1KB, as does loading a new floor. Moving a single tile, and revealing the associated new tiles, costs a few hundred bytes.

Your mileage may vary, this was a very small sample size, etc etc.

I like the general idea, but I'd tone it down and make it less linear. I'd also remove the specific spell part of it. For example, spellcasting 4 makes all your spells cost 1 less MP.
