Well, that is true I guess I could do that, but as a developer this would be a good learning experience anyways :D Plus most of the experimental branches I've seen are for small changes, I'm not sure how well they'd like the idea of potentially unstable sweeping changes.

Well it's tedious even for battle magic which is saying something. I think a lot of people skip it because battle sphere and dart annihilate things and are less noisy, not quite as tedious, and uses hexes. But since I usually go sif as a Cj I memorize it for packs of enemies and ditch it later.

Isn't the right answer both whips? Electro-> general use. Venom Whip-> High hp low armor (animals/giants), slow, or ele immune. Pretty sure nothing is ele-immune with high armor early game, so mace is probably tossable.

@hoople Keep in mind, you don't have to finish the game wearing that armour so you don't have to put points into strength. You could train armour to 12 or so, then when you find a good dragon armour type that fits your resists, switch to it and go stealthy again. Ko's don't do well in heavy armour, ...

Yeah it's right there in the inventory, just hit i and pick your armour slot.

As for calculating by hand, that's generally not worthwhile. If you give us a char dump, which is given by pressing #, most people here could give you a rough estimate of how hard an X level spell will be.
