Re: Race: Golem - a race with a special system

Aint that flux system leads to grinding? Since flux dissipates overtime like contamination, travel through levels will make a golem fluxless (slow and low MPgen), and only above grey level of contamination (one point of contamination) will build up flux. The ratio of flux gain from damage are still...

Sadly the strength of Spider Form doesn't make up with it's weakness, even with speed and clinging. But what do you expect from a low level transmutation?

With guaranteed slow 3 and no body armour after XL 14, it rather needs more natural AC than naga or maybe let them be at large size and only able to wear crystal plate armours like the old draconians being able to wear dragon armours and robes?

Beogh smites anyone who smashes an orcish idol. In former versions, TSO would smite slayers of angels. If gods are allowed to harm each other's property without anyone "asking" them to smite, then why do they have followers at all? According to these rules, whenever you play a demonspawn ...

They work as some nice late game threats, and a reason to use your permafood.
And any ranged build that survived that long can easily take them down before being touch by them.

Sadly there is only one crystal plate armour - the Orange Crystal Plate Armour that actually imporves spellcasting, other CPAs provide nothing but hindrance and AC.
If you want to cast your current robe of Archmagi will do the work.

I think warding is an OK idea, but it's implemented really silly. Why can't the amulet just prevent all summoning in view (including summons by you)? That would be an effect I would actually use.

What if amulet of warding gives a evocable aura of abjuration just like ring of flight?

Starting god are not the same as finding temple in D:4 or whatever.
D:1 Beogh or Elyvilon will significantly change gameplay, like a orc horde run or pacifist run.
And please don't merge more backgrounds. That will remove most of the flavors.
