Fencers gloves +0 or Gloves of dex +2 ?
Fencers gloves increase chance of long blade ripostes, says the wiki.
I currently like using holy long blades in extended so there is no reason to go with the Dex gloves, right?

Thanks for the explanations all. Since many code changes are defended by saying things are made easier to understand and more unified it seems not nearly all of the games mechanics are anywhere near that goal.

4 years playing this game and I didn't know you couldn't curse holy weapons! Couldn't find info on that in the wiki either but reproduced it with another weapon.
It must have been lucky and found that weapon in a cursed state. Too bad!

I never encounter them without at least a (Large) Shield of Reflection so it would actually be easier to kill them. They can still take lots of damage and Malmutate. I'd say only Elder Mummies and maybe Curse Toes are as terrifying in the end-game.

When I play Gozag, I sometimes bribe Zot twice just to be safe. And the right combination of Potion Petition might just cost you another 8-9 hundred... I have gone into Zot 3 or 4 with about 14K and come out with 1.5K.
