There's nothing stopping you from quitting if your HP drops below 50%. Do you really think speedrunning is all about being lucky with drops? Why do some people manage to get lucky so often then? You seem to be in a good form. I'd train some Stealth next, even Stlth+++ would help, although I eventually train Stealth to at least 10-15 with my transmuters. Well, it is vampiric, so it's pretty annoying to use with a staff of energy, and also it's two-handed so you'll lose all of SH, which is a pretty big penalty.

Ice Form is a good spell, no doubt. I've used it heavily to fetch the Lair runes when Statue Form didn't drop, but I still prefer Blade Hands + rPois. So for me, "situationally useful" is when I have neither poison resistance nor Statue Form.

I'd guess with Str/Dex >= 50 on a vinestalker Slay+5 is somewhat more helpful. Blade Hands or other strong forms might make it more fiddy-fiddy. 1) Ashenzari because all that extra info is useful throughout the game, so are skill boosts.

2) Probably Okawaru because Heroism solves almost every problem early on, Finesse a bit later, and extra gear is nice.

1+2 = boost for both fighting skills and spells.

A felid deals ludicrous stabbing damage, and stabbing bonus is (UC+Stealth)/2, so like Nino said, train some Stealth next.
