My thoughts exactly. Has happened since 0.5.0 or whatever version it was when I first started playing.

Anyway, today I had a mini-vault full of Jellies pop up on D1 in trunk. I ran while they ate everything.

You'll find everything you need to be perfectly prepared for Zot, Hells, etc. on the armor you find... if you're a Felid.

I'd second (or third or whatever) going a Crusader Felid. I did a Berserker for the hilarious mental images that would ensue playing it, such as a pissed off kitty chasing down a dragon that's fleeing in sheer terror from seeing it's brothers torn apart by said housecat. It was mentioned earlier, but I'm going to second the status effect inducing chunks. Pretty much, you find yourself only eating clean chunks, poison chunks if you have resist poison, and sickness chunks because they seem to be the most common and don't always make you sick. All other chunks except m...

Congrats on your first win. Winning Crawl for the first time is a pretty awesome feeling. Only thing is, you forgot to carry out the runes and artifacts you found. They would have boosted your score. Start starving while next to an Orange Statue and eat a ration right there instead of backing off.

Try casting spells rated "Terrible" and watch the miscast fireworks.

Decide you're going to play a specific combo until you win. You'll never reach Lair, if you're lucky.
