On my second win, which was a SpEn, I ignored a +8,+8 electric quick blade for a lowly enchanted flame sabre because the quick blade's base damage was too low. I still smack myself every time I think about it.

There's not really a choice between eating items yourself and feeding them to jellies, even with this proposal. The jellies are going to eat stuff out of LOS whether you want them to or not. So I imagine you'll end up eating whatever you do come across that you don't need to keep.

While it would certainly make them harder, that's a case of the A.I. being too smart. If you play a melee character, are not a Spriggan or Centaur, and have not found a decent ranged option yet, kiting Centaurs would be an automatic death sentence you ran into one.

Because this topic is 11 months old. I actually now do like the idea of Trog tampering with your magic, but not to the extreme suggested and not piled with the crazy berserker summons. Dunno if I should go into detail on my thoughts on that or not in a topic that'll probably get gravedug locked.
