Any time you find your character in a bad situation, just stop playing for a minute while you evaluate. You can get up and take a break, you can chat with spectators if playing online, you can ^F ingame to search for items that might salvage the character, you can alt-tab out and do something else ...

I could handle death yaks quite easily, altough they did not stay confused very long. It just meant that I needed to stay focused on what was going on and not use Tab. :P Corridors help with keeping your victim in place, but then again, you should always fight in corridors anyway. Polearms also help with Ce speed. You can still kite when you are gettin low on ammo. Bows are especially good, since you will find more ammo early on from Centaurs.

True, I would like to have some better bodyarmor, but then again, my AC is 41 and I got all the resists I need.

There is a Trove of Treasures that asks for 4 potions of resistance, which I have found only 2 in the entire game. Perhaps that is where my ultimate body armor is waiting. :P

Ogres can cast spells to some extent and they really help you survive. And even if they can not dodge well, I would not throw away that little ev I have.

Getting a GDA is much easier than PDA though, so GDA might be an option.
