You got the latin declensional type wrong. It's haruspex, not haruspicus, unless it's some kind of derivation, that i haven't encountered.

This room happens. What are these yaks doing in D5? I've played this game for years, but never seen them that early in the game. Usually they don't show up before the lair.

Centaur hunter meets a lonely gnoll on D1. Centaur hunter is full on HP, but decides to head for the exit, just in case. You never know what happens. Gnoll throws a spear. Spear happens to be a beefed up spear of distortion... The rest is history
