it does help if you manage to pick up +Rage, for berserking without a food cost oh boy this has to come from the wiki it's utterly bizarre, don't do this and also stop worrying about food for god's sake Try DsFi, they are easier IMHO. I have played Ds just once and it got 15 runes so I stopped play...

by late game you do the same as the early game if by that you mean "extended", you worry when you get there, but you should have a ton of permafood by then and there are some corpse drops. it's not the least annoying 15-runer but it's not so bad And makhleb is a great choice, but pretty mu...

iirc most brands are applied after the hit, which if you're stabbing just kills the dude, so not really?
chaos brand self-poly is one of the dumbest things in the game, but i think you can cancel it on the abilities menu now? that's my recollection from the last time it happened to me.

well i rarely drop things on the spot. i do that with blinking sometimes but that's it.
usually i kite things to a door i can close (works for dragons, ice beasts, simulacra) or a < and drop the stuff.
