Statue Form's bonuses work for any melee attacker. Whether they're worth the drawbacks depends on the character and situation. And yes Necromutation is a bad spell. Fair enough. Damage shaving both stacks with AC and works on anything, including smiting, hellfire and damage from being poisoned.
On another note, GDR tends to get heavily overvalued by players. In practice it doesn't have much impact.
As for Passive Mapping, it gets stronger at later levels.

Also worth noting Cause Fear only works on Natural (i.e. not Undead, Demonic, Holy, or a plant) enemies and doesnt effect anyone berserking.

The option to worship their own exclusive god is like the one thing HO have to make themselves stand out from just being the mid-point between humans and minotaurs though. Player ghosts use monster spellcasting rules. A player ghost can generate with any spell they had at 50% or lower that has a monster equivalent and will never miscast it (unless you've been hitting them with an anti-magic weapon, of course).

Everything in the game is affected by AC unless it's special-cased not to. Besides weapon brands and (most) attack flavors, that's a small handful of spells (most notably Smite and the Hellfire variations).
