Depending on my build, I will seriously consider doing Vaults 1-4 before stepping into shoals, especially if I haven't found Repel Missiles.

Meanwhile Swamp almost always boils down to "Do you have rPois and the ability to fight Hydras without consumables? Okay, you're good."

As for the OP: I'd guess that DrTm felt easier because you got used to the Dr apts. As a point of comparison, I got pretty good at getting GrSk through the early game, but when I tried to do MfSk I had a lot of trouble at first despite the fact that, on paper, Mf looks like it'd have an easier time...

An enemy that deals bonus damage to faster-moving characters sounds interesting. Not sure if Time Travel is worth keeping, though. My impression is that monsters who run away are generally considered really annoying and not that interesting.

I don't think having a 6* ability is a good idea on a god with multiple piety cost invocations. Not counting 1-time gifts (weapon blessings, Zin mutation removal, etc) Jiyva is the only god that gives a new ability at 6*, which is a passive effect.
