Re: CIP: DsBe, 3 runes in - advice for extended

I recently got all 15 runes on a melee only minotaur, I was an Makhleb follower, so the healing on kills helped, as well as being able to cast haste and regen and what not, but Trog's hand and Trog bros should also help. However my best asset was a great sword of holy wrath, meaning when I did close...

Yeah, it might help if you could provide a screen shot or something, so we know what you're talking about. Because in manual skill training, crawl won't turn a skill on when you pick up a weapon for it, unless you previously had that skill turned on, then dropped that type of weapon. Even in auto tr...

Uhh.. well are you sure you're on manual training? Because if you're already opening the skills menu when you start the game, and set the skills you want to train, it shouldn't turn on some other skill when you pick up a weapon that uses it.

Good point, I figured the bow was kind of redundant with the conjurations, but perhaps the best advice would be to forget about ranged conjurations and just build the character around the bow. I do think the Xom weapon swap should be removed. It's extremely spoilery that you have to have a second weapon of your preferred type in case Xom steals your main weapon. Once you do know that, it's a much less severe effect, but if you didn't know to have a backup weapon you could be quite screwed...
