I think that this idea could be merged with recent Heaven and God-themed Pan ideas, we could make like 10-15 different-themed Pan levels (like death-themed, nature-themed, holy-themed, w/e-themed) and place 4 or 5 guaranteed portals leading to some of those realms.

Does crawl has PRNG with a good source of entropy? Because if it hasn't, It becomes tedious-but-optimal play style where you have to decypher your rng to know what's the next roll and that's obviously against the game philosophy.

Haste could be nerfed if it will need some time to kick in like tele, maybe 10% increased speed for first T turns, 20% for next T turns and so on with spellpower decreasing T.
But this probably wont make haste less no-brainer-ish.

As for me, Opera is too damn slow, especially when "rendering" water, Chrome is fast but bad with ctrl+T, Firefox is ok with ctrl+T but a bit slower than Chrome.

Isn't invisibility a hex which fogs others' (and own) mind so their brain just ignores you. If you close your left eye you will be able to see your nose with the right one and vice-versa, but if you open both of your eyes your brain will just ignore nose. IIRC, the limitation on Gods for undead was implemented because of OP foodless Ely and TSO worshippers. TSO isn't a problem now I believe, but with Ely you are just going to pacify dudes all the day.

The other proposal: You get conservation when you have less then N (say, 5) scrolls (or potions). It will really encourage players to make their inventory management stuff without fear that the yaktaur will instaburn their only ?tele and they will have to go back to their stash to grab the other one...

If item destruction doesn't get removed (and it pretty much should be removed), I could suggest a minimum damage dealt by instance (like 20 or so) to have a chance to destroy item.
