why isn't it a thing yet?

so, I was browsing the CDO wiki, and found this
https://crawl.develz.org/wiki/doku.php? ... pose:jelly

this is awesome!! playing a Jelly of Jyiva could be one of the funniest things ever. I think we should dump felids and put this in the game.

It seems like no one likes this Mut, so, instead of giving more reasons why it is bad, can we start thinking about what can we do to improve it? the issues are, apparently: -rN is not very useful in a 3-rune game, and torment resistance is pratically useless. -it adds nothing to gameplay more than r...

then you can keep them forever, just like trog's. I think the point is Oka giving gifts to heroes, to help them do hero things. so, if you act like a coward (avoiding tension, fighting weak monsters, only clearing branch ends when they are trivial) he will take them back.

well, it could be linked to Tension. okawaru do not take the gifts back at high tension, and if you manage to kill the threat, the timer for the gift to be taken back would be extended. this way you would be rewarded for heroism.
